The bridal show bag sitting on the counter.

I am reposting this as I don’t believe it fed to my Occasions facebook page correctly.  This is for all of you brides that attended the September 15 & 16th show at the Lansing Center.  I hope you find the information helpful in your quest to plan your wedding in an organized manner.

Occasions Booth

Occasions can fulfill your invitation wishes!

Nice Bridal show today at the Lansing Center.  Met some really nice people.  Brides were excited to see what each vendor had to offer, and I don’t mind saying, lots of nice compliments for my booth full of lovely invitations.

Brides were carrying huge paper bags picked up at the show registry area.  These bags probably contain all kinds of freebies and marketing pieces handed out by the vendors.  Now that you attended today’s show, or perhaps you are attending tomorrow, think about what you will do with all that local wedding vendor information.

Are you going to leave it in the bag, sitting on the kitchen counter top or your bedroom floor for days after the show?  I know..information overload, and you haven’t even set your date yet right?

Here is something you can do with this bag of resources.   Go to your office supply store, pick up a packet of the clear plastic sleeves for binders.  Take some time to go through the information you received.  Organize the material in your binder by category.   For example, have a tab for DJs, Photography, Invitations, Cakes, Reception Venues, etc.    Include a sheet in your binder under each category of the contacts you have made after the show with these vendors.  A bridal show can be a one stop shop to assist you in preparing your wedding planning.   Take a few minutes to contact these vendors you were interested in at the show.  Make an appointment.  Hear what they can do for you.

More than likely, you will see many of the same vendors at the upcoming shows in January.  On the same note, I have observed many of the same brides at each and every show I have attended, it is like a circuit.  Why wait until January when the heavy bridal season begins for spring and summer weddings.  You can get a jump start now by planning ahead.  You can have your arrangements made early so you are not in crisis mode when the vendor you want is already getting booked up after the January shows.  You will be the premiere bride because you are organized and strategic about your wedding planning.  You will be stress free!

If your bag is sitting on the counter or your bedroom floor right now, commit to organizing the resource information, make some appointments with these vendors and get busy wedding planning!  It’s all in the bag!

Warmly,

Mary

Thank you for attending the show! I look forward to working with you! Hugs!
