Fall is here…

I love fall in Michigan.  There is something enticing about the vivid color changes, raking leaves, smelling burning leaves, and finding the perfect pumpkin for Halloween.  We lucked out this year finding perfect pumpkins at a farm down the road from our cottage.  The pumpkins were $1.00 to $3.00.   Quite the bargain compared to grocery store prices.   And not to mention, we were supporting a 7-year old kid who was selling his pumpkins…keeping it local!

Although the nights are cooler, my tomato plants continue to hang on, as well as my peppers.  So this year, I am going to actually attempt to make my own spaghetti sauce from my Romas and Big Daddy’s.  I have never canned before, so I think it will be kind of fun.   There is nothing like the aroma of tomatoes stewing in the pot.   I have been checking out the Ball Blue Book and the process does not seem difficult, just need to book a whole day devoted to Tomato sauce!!   I will let you know how it turns out!

Enjoy the fall days ahead, weddings at this time can be expectionally beautiful because of the mix of colors and earthy tones.  I tend to be drawn to the colors of this time of year and incorporating them with paper and customizing a beautiful fall tone wedding invitation is so pleasing to the eye!
